For guests of all ages, here are a few things to do which involve just a short drive (# miles from Inn), and directions will be provided upon request.
Cape Cod Baseball League – The Platinum Pebble is a 5-10 minute drive from the home field of five teams participating in this prestigious summer league. See the “stars of tomorrow”.
A number of public golf courses are minutes away (# miles from Inn): Harwich Port Golf (2 miles), Cranberry Valley (3 miles), Bass River (4 miles), Blue Rock (4 miles), Dennis Highlands (4 miles), Dennis Pines (5 miles), Bayberry (7 miles), Chatham Seaside (8 miles) Captains Golf Course (8 miles).
Ferries to Nantucket (3 miles or 12 miles) to Martha's Vineyard (12 miles or 35 miles).
The Dolphin Fleet Whale Watch also goes out of Provincetown (44 miles) and the Hyannis Whale Watch tours go out of Barnstable Harbor (15 miles). We should have discount coupons for you for Dolphin Fleet
The Cape Cod National Seashore beaches start with Nauset Beach, in Orleans (12 miles) and then continue on to Race Point Beach, in Provincetown (44 miles). There are many, many other great beaches along the way.
Seal watch cruises from Saquatucket Harbor or Chatham (3 miles).
Deep sea or sport fishing from Saquatucket Harbor (3 miles).
The Cape Cod Rail Trail, a paved bike trail - the beginning of the 26-mile trail starts two miles from the Inn (either by bike in one direction or by car in a different direction). We will have information related to numerous other Cape Cod biking routes you may wish to give a try.
Theater abounds on the Cape starting with the Harwich Junior Theatre (HJT), which is only a five-minute walk around the corner. HJT offers daytime classes, plus afternoon and evening performances. The Cape Playhouse, in Dennis (12 miles) presents many Broadway performers starring in their summer schedule of shows. There are another 15-20 locations on the Cape having regular performances during the summer. Some have college theatre groups who are here, on Cape Cod, to perform for the summer.
The Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis (14 miles) has musical and comedy performances almost nightly during the summer months. Some shows one might hope to see could be LeAnn Rimes, Melissa Etheridge, Tony Bennett, B. B. King, Darius Rucker, Frank Caliendo.

Brooks Academy Museum in Harwich Center – Harwich history, Brooks Academy history, cranberry culture and more (2 miles).
Walking Trails - Herring River Conservation Area, Bell's Neck Conservation Area and Thompson's Field are all "can't miss" sites to visit and see marshlands, tidal creeks, herring runs and beautiful spring wildflowers. All just minutes away.
Cape Cod Audubon Society in Wellfleet – nature center and trails, natural history, birds of Wellfleet (23 miles).
The J.F.K. Museum and Memorial in Hyannis (12 miles).
The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute and Aquarium with many exhibits and a video highlighting the discovery of the Titanic will prove to be both educational and a pleasure (35 miles).
Uniquely interesting Provincetown offers a day trip to remember. See and enjoy Pilgrim Monument, galleries, shops, diverse dining and more (44 miles).
